My brother and his wife are having their first baby in a couple weeks. They are doing things the minimalist way, buying only what they think they need right away, and then getting more stuff as they go on. So they don’t really want any stuff for the baby; they’d rather pick it all themselves as they go.
When I asked my brother if there was anything I could get for them, he suggested gift certificates to a place that delivers dinners. Something he could call and have a meal delivered, so that after the baby’s born, they don’t have to go out anywhere or do anything if they’re exhausted. That sounds great, but he’s up on San Francisco, and my google skills aren’t helping me. And he had no idea whether such a creature actually exists, although I’m sure it does.
I don’t know how these work, but maybe you can contact them and see if you can get gift certificates.
Also, the SF Chamber of Commerce has a restaurant guide–you may be able to call the ones you know your brother and SIL would like and see if they offer gift certificates and delivery service.
Dunno if that helps, but congrats to your family on the expected addition! Hope all goes wonderfully for them!
My husband and I just spent a week in SF and used them on the night we decided to stay cuddled up on the couch of the apartment we rented.
We ordered Indian through their website with no problems. Quick and easy.
