Sanrio/Snoopy connection

Trying to figure out the past and current relationship of Sanrio and Snoopy. From the few small cites I can find online, Sanrio first got the license to distribute Snoopy products in Japan. Then, Sanrio developed Hello Kitty and the other characters it’s known for. And now…?

I still occasionally see Snoopy merch in Sanrio (USA) stores. Does Sanrio still hold the license? Did anything change when United Media was reorganized into Peanuts Worldwide?

“Peanuts Worldwide” is a brand owned by Iconix Brand Group ,
they do licensing for clothing and so on, so that Kmart, Walmart ,Target, etc can sell the famous icons on their brands.

Universal Uclick syndicates the comic strips themselves.

Says that beginning of 2012, the Sanrio license of Peanuts icons was still being resold .

Evidently, they’re still selling Snoopy goods.
