I’ve little or no interest in reading the thread from the place at which I last posted to exactly identify where, precisely, it changed from SA’s ignorant and ill-formed opinions on current and future health care laws and regulations into SA’s ignorant and ill-formed opinions on things were so much better back in the day, but, I must say, I’m in complete and absolute bewilderment as to why posters allow him to get away with this shit instead of nailing the ignorance and stupidity demonstrated in his OP, and, especially as it was a particularly unknowledgeable and easily shot down OP, I would have expected that the force of the responses to him would have remained upon his completely made out of thin cloth thesis rather than floating along the river with whatever hijack he chooses to bring up in order to avoid and to pretend that the criticisms of his post are irrelevant to whatever it happens to be that he would like to act as if he actually meant.
Lock the girls in, make 'em watch three hours of Ron Jeremy, the Wooly Mammoth, and when you unlock the doors, they’ll run right over you in a stampede to get to the convent of the Little Sisters of the Awesomely Immaculate…
I agree with Frank (I think). I really wish I, and everyone else, would just STOP RESPONDING to anything posted by Starving Artist. It’s useless, it’s a waste of electrons and time and hamster energy, and it makes him continue to feel that he’s got something to contribute instead of just drooling over himself in a corner.
The game obviously is, how long can S_A string out the thread? As these trainwrecks routinely go over five pages, I’ve gotta say he’s gotten pretty good at it. Suckers.
 Making anyone watch even a few minutes involving Rug Boy and the Trunk of DOOM™ is just…well, it’s cruel. And unusual.
…
…
It would probably work though. Hell, you could probably use it to extract information from spy’s AND make just about anyone swear off sex (as well as write bad checks, if that’s needed)…
I just want to go on record as saying that I think SA is completely full of shit in this OP (I haven’t read beyond it), and I don’t even feel like explaining why.
This, and I don’t mean Starving Artist in particular. Please ppl, if you feel someone doesn’t debate in good faith and is never worth reading, USE THE IGNORE FEATURE. You won’t see it, and you won’t miss it.
Please reward sane and cogent arguments, and ignore the wharrgarbl. We all NEED strong, reality-based opposition arguments. It puts our belief to the test, and if your beliefs can’t withstand that, then it’s time to reassess and reevaluate.
:smack: What WAS I thinking? You are so right! It’s much better to have kids fucking like bunnies, getting pregnant, having abortions and carrying a 25% STD rate as is the case today than it is to have them remain largely ignorant of sex until they’re old enough to handle it.
As for when I think it would be appropriate to “tell kids shit”, I would say, apart from the fact that I believe sex education should be up to parents rather than a government run educational bureaucracy, that once kids are old enough to drive they have likely developed enough common sense and judgement and discipline to at least begin to deal with the consequences of sex. If you just absolutely have to but in and
I find it difficult to believe you ever think you’ve fully plumbed the depths of my stupidity.
BWAHAHAHA!
I suppose it’s escaped your notice that it was actually me who shot down my own OP, or at least the ‘trickery’ aspect of it. If it was so easily shot down how come I was the first one to notice, in post #97 no less, that Diana Smith had raised the funds for her operation herself, thus pulling the rug out from under my assertion that the government had deliberately tricked her in order to avoid paying for it?
It’s most amusing how I was able to post here for years and years, getting involved in one steel cage death match after another about GWB, the Iraq war, and any and all things conservative vs. liberal, and scarcely a peep was raised to the effect that people should stop responding to me. Then, in response to one to many assertions that the only reason anyone could be a conservative at all would be that they are EVILLL to their very core, I began listing the various and sundry ways that liberal ideology and permissiveness and wrongheaded support for the wrong things have resulted in a huge number of lost and fucked up lives and caused an almost unlimited number of problems in an almost unlimited number of ways, and suddenly hardly a week goes by that someone like you isn’t imploring everyone else not to respond to me.
Well, I’ve got news for ya, chum. Lots of people read the things I have to say. The vast majority disagrees with most of it, to be sure, but still I get the message out and those who care to read it, do. Do you actually think I prefer to have to spend my time arguing against things I never said or straightening out dishonest misrepresentations of things I actually have said? It would be perfectly fine with me if you never spoke (or wrote, actually) another word to me again. It’s just that much more time I can spend saying what I want to say without having to contend with noisome static.
Horseshit. The fact is that everybody else missed it just like I did, or else they never read the cite to begin with. You know as well as I do that had anyone at all had picked up on that little indiscrepancy they would have been shouting it to the moon.
As mentioned, I’ve missed many posts in this thread. If, in fact, Ms. Smith raised private funds to pay for her surgery, it does not in any way shoot down your OP. It is not, in fact, relevant in any way, shape, or form to your OP. How is the alleged (for the time being) fact that she raised funds relevant to your statement in the OP that she was tricked into losing health coverage?
Hey SA buddy, now that you’re not busy , I wonder if you could take a moment to respond to the following, as it’s been asked repeatedly:
Please address the fact that the example in your link happened under the current system that Republicans want to keep rather than the new system that has not come into effect yet.
I mean, how can this example be confirmation of Palin’s “death panel” remark, when the changes to health care have not even occurred yet? The “death panels” can not been formed this quickly, can they?
I think THAT’S the real problem. Bureaucracy, coupled with “drones who don’t give a shit”, is the real evil here.
And bureaucrats who don’t give a shit will be a problem in the public sector as well as the private. Rightie as well as leftie drones – with the power to deny us healthcare.
What’s scarier? Rampant evil bureaucracy, or agreeing with S. Artist?
