pretty easy and basic geometry. see if you can answer before reading the article.

This isn’t a bad idea. Anything that inspires a teenager to study geometry is fine with me. All joking aside, practical math is something I related too. I can solve or learn to solve any practical or applied math question. College Physics questions helped me master Calculus because it’s applied math. The theoretical stuff in my math classes put me to sleep.

  1. The celebrity booty pictured on the left has an area of 64 pi and is divided into eight congruent regions. What is the perimeter of one of these regions?

  2. If the radius of the Kardashian on the left is 12 and the area of the highlighted, ahem, feature is 48 pi, what is the measure of the interior angle of sector indicated?

  3. If a magazine editor were to photoshop the region on the left so that its diameter were doubled in length, what would be the resulting ratio of the new region’s area to the original regions area? (Not that a magazine editor would ever do such a thing, of course.)

I got all three right. It’s pretty basic geometry.

Cute story, though.

I’m extremely disappointed this was used for geometry, it would’ve made an excellent pun under different mathematical circumstances.
