'Satellite Direct' - is it a scam? Is it worth it?

While looking for online Olympic coverage, I stumbled across the Satellite Direct site.

It claims to provide access to some 3500 TV channels for a (pretty reasonable) one-time fee with no additional or ongoing charges, no bandwidth limits, etc. In other words, it seems proverbially ‘too good to be true’.

Anyone have experience with it? What do you say?

I’ve seen/heard of these type of services and what they amount to is organizing in some way what is already free content on the interent.
They count things like peoples personal youtube channels as channels. MSN videos, YAHOO videos, stuff cable networks make available on their websites for free, etc.
