Satellite Imagery Question

I know google Earth isn’t “real-time”, but is there a service anywhere on the web that is?

Thanks!

“Almost” real time imagery good enough?

Or this: http://sugar.coas.oregonstate.edu/MODIS/RTSI/imagetool.shtml

Well, the Oregon State site is easier to navigate (couldn’t really find what I wanted on the previous link), but unfortunately, Georgia isn’t included, Whack-a-Mole.

We’ve had a lot of flooding recently and I wanted to see if I could find the hardest hit areas, if possible.

Thanks, though!

Q

Maybe this site then? http://www.wtoctv.com/Global/category.asp?C=79603

May not have the resolution you want though.

I took a look, W-a-M, but yeah, it’s too high up.

It does show, however, that we’re about to be (in the words of the great Johnny Cash) “blessed with a little more rain!”

“How High’s The Water Mama?”

Thanks, W-a-M!

Be aware that the high resolution Google images are taken from aircraft not satellites. You’re not going to get a lot of detail from any satellite image, real time or otherwise.
