There were no British involved. This happened in Australia and was prompted because two young Australians were killed in the terror attack. A national platform like a World Cup qualifier is a natural setting for such a setting. The victims were similarly mourned at the recent Mexico v Ireland match here in the USA.
They were probably obeying secret orders from the mayor of London.
Kind of…here are memorials from the English Premier League to the victims of the Paris attack. Notice how they are positioned.
I know its the Daily Mail but only noted for the images
It’s very doubtful that using a brief quote as a joke would constitute copyright infringement, even if the work it came from was still protected by copyright law.
And further nitpick: “Copy written” means you have written some words. But further than that, “copyrighted” is a problematic word. I would stick to phrases like “under copyright protection” or “protected by copyright.”
It looks like you are taken in by a overly-sensational story. Wouldn’t be the first time that happened. You might consider stepping back and looking at this with less clouded eyes. The more you keep digging this hole, the worse it’s going to get.
Unless most of us are wrong, and SA has a history of dis’ing other countries when they suffer such attacks, in which case maybe you’re right. But unless you know that, and can demonstrate it, best to quick digging.
Most of you dont know anything about soccer (because we are American ;)) so most are unaware that this sort of ceremony is common following any large tragedy anywhere…which is ehy I posted the images from the EPL…you will notice the Liverpool and Man City players lined up in a manner never seen (intermixed). What the Saudi team did was a najor diss happening in a sport the world embraces. Btw…has it occurred that there is a >1% chance that the terrorists were funded with KSA money?
… are you drunk?
They rented a van and used some knifes.
What kind of funding do you think is required?
I do not like the imagery of the Saudi assholes continuing with the warm up in most part, but be serious
But how did they get radicalized? But yeah I think you are right in your larger point.
I think you may know of this thing, it is called the internet. And the youtube. and the chatforum.
Ahem.
Copyrighted.
That is all.
Humor; it is a difficult concept.
What do you think of this?
Except that, I agree, the term is less than mellifluous.
Thanks!
What do I think?
It is a published story from 31 may 17.
It has not very much to do with the murderous van scum.
stop being silly about this
They have guts. Let’s see whether YOU can move around and shout loudly while THEY’RE at prayer.
Run that by again.
What Shakespeare said was humor. The whole “copyrighted” or “TM” shrink is just a worn out cliche. At this point it’s more important to prevent the spread of misconceptions about intellectual property than to indulge an anti-joke.
Keeping to the thread title, try this for even a short while: Stop believing people should go out of their way to respect you, and don’t go out of your way to show respect to others. If you feel disrespect has shifted to clear offense, you can always invoke the force of law, physical force, or whatever mechanism’s available to you. Elsewise, life should go on.
In madsircool’s defense, I think what he meant is that he wished they knew what it felt like to lose a loved one. Not that it would actually happen.
