Say something that is true to a person in 1985 that will make you sound like a crazy person

And in some situations it isn’t out of line to talk to people in person.

The head shops will all be gone but…

In about half the US, or at least where half of the population lives, individual states will have legal marijuana, so you can buy pipes and papers where you buy actual pot.
And unlike with alcohol prohibition 100 years ago, the federal government seems disinclined to assert the federal statute.

But in other ways some of the liberated attitudes of the 1960s and '70s will have mostly vanished. For example

They’ll have really doubled down on the nudity taboo. Nudist/clothing optional resorts and day use facilities will have been closing down all over. In movies, characters will f**k eith 90% of their clothes still on just so as to avoid an R rating and losing the teenage audience.

And the ones that do have nudity use prosthetic dicks the majority of the time.

Did you watch that show Real People? Byron Allen is now a multimillionaire media mogul. And that kid that was on the show. Peter, did you see that Christmas movie he did? You didn’t? Oh yeah, it didn’t do well when it came out. Now it’s one of the most beloved Christmas movies of all time.

Although if he made the LGBT-offensive show Bosom Buddies today, he would likely be cancelled before his career began!

Except nobody goes to the movies anymore but you can often find plenty, even gratuitous amounts of nudity on non-porn HBO programming.

1985: “You can work your way through college.”

2023: “If you can get a job as the president of a bank, you can work your way through college.”

And also if you told them that one person could easily pick it up and carry it around.

the President of the United States arranged a major press conference in a shabby parking lot ,in front of a landscaping warehouse and a porn shop.

The Writers Guild of America is striking to prevent artificial intelligences from reading their scripts.

The former POTUS has been found liable for sexual assault in a court of law. There is very strong evidence that there was a string of similar assaults. Despite this being known to the public, he is popular enough that there is currently a strong possibility that he will win the next election.

And the audience laughs when he brings it up on TV the day after being ruled against.

Martha Stewart wasn’t famous yet in the 80s, but I think people would still boggle over her being a Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue cover model in her 80s

It is probably a positive thing to include a wide variety of models. But I wonder if they sell as many magazines.

That terrible, NOBODY character actor who fought The Fonz would acquire two Oscars.

“You’re blowing up on Tick-Tock.”

There’s a meme floating around Facebook: “Artificial intelligences writing books and doing art while children labour for less then minimum wage is not the future I wanted to have…”

Come to think of it, “There’s a meme floating around Facebook” might qualify by itself…

“Weird Science” is real. I will go home, after going to prom alone and fuck my favorite VR Pornstar with cybernetic propylactics. With the most money, I can stimulate a naked woman, who is a stranger, with a remote vibrator as she “feels” you. Inducing pleasure and orgasm.

What’s even crazier is it’s not Bill Clinton
