Scamming the poor

Muffin,

Just got a reply from the AFN:

“Something is definitely going to be done - [the legal department] has already sent it to all FN organizations. I am just waiting for the fertilizer to hit the air conditioning!!”

That’s about as much as I can do from my end, but I’ll keep in touch with them and update everyone whenever possible.

Cheers.

Thanks, that’s good news!

An update…

Megezhee Anishinabe’s Lucille Rissanen (one of the people who unloaded Krausel’s trash) wrote a nice letter to the editor today to thank all the people who have been making donations of clothing in “excellent condition” from Thunder Bay, Vancouver, Ottawa, and Toronto.

They are still looking for more clothes (“especially children’s”), but are now well on their way to meeting some of the previous requests from outlying communities.

Concerning the question as to why Krausel’s load was garbage, she wrote: “To answer this, I would tell you that if you had been anywhere near the Community Hall that day, you could have smelled the reason. Some of the so-called ‘quality’ clothing was rotting and was infested with maggots and bugs.”
