I had a scary spider situation tonight that I wanted to share. I was taking a shower and saw a medium sized black spider on the wall and flicked it down into the drain. I have the two shower curtain setup. You know the one, pretty one on the outside and a liner on the inside. Well, I can see light thru the 2 curtains when showering. After I flicked the spider down the drain I looked at the shower curtain and saw what musta been 70-100 “dark spots” between the curtains. Well, since I just saw a spider I had a good idea what it was so as soon as I finished my shower I got out of the tub and seperated the curtains and BAM! Spiders dropping out everywhere! I started stomping everything I could but I know I didnt get them all. Its gonna be a problem I can already see. I need to call the apt manager adn get the place smoked out or whatever they do.

Perhaps a spider’s egg web hatched in your shower. It’s pretty rare for spiders to infest anything, since almost all species are solitary; if you washed most of 'em down the drain or smushed them, I doubt they’ll be back. If that’s any consolation. But then, I really like spiders. If it makes you feel any better, they were probably just as freaked out by the whole experience as you were. Imagine falling the equivalent of oh, I don’t know, 10 stories, and then landing on a screaming, whirling, stomping giant. Now that would be a scary experience. 
I have very tactile skin.
whenever I finish reading stories like these–it weirds me out, since I’m -very- arachnophobic. For the rest of the night, every time I feel a hair on my arms or legs twitch, I’m gonna spaz and think there’s a spider crawling over me.

HEY NOW! I wasnt screaming or whirling! I was cursing and stomping. I am just glad my daughter wasn’t there or she would have freaked.
