School Brunch Program

Why does the federal government provide brunch to every public school student in Michigan? I don’t question the value of brunch, it’s not quite breakfast, it’s not quite lunch, but it comes with a slice of cantaloupe at the end. The students don’t get completely what they would at breakfast, but they get a good meal! The problem is why is the federal government giving brunch to only Michigan students? Isn’t this a service that needs to be provided by the state government?

My own take is this is blackmail to the Lieutenant Governor Dick Posthumus because of his knowledge of the government’s secret recordings of the Beatles reunion. Why won’t the government release these recordings? Too many have already killed to protect these tapes.
What do you think?

Since I’m not familiar with Michigander and their government, perhaps you could explain further? Cites?

Continuing on, if Michigan is willing to administer it, or asked the Gov to change the Breakfast proggie to a bruch one, I see no problem. The Feds set up the big breakfast and lunch proggie so that kids who run out the door without eating (I’m 21 and rarely eat breakfast) can get some nutrition.

If BZ00000 wants to start a new thread about the alleged federally-funded Michigan-only School Brunch Program, assuming there is such a thing, feel free. Some documentation in the new OP as to the details (as well as the existence of) this program would be nice.
