How does the media get to the schools so fast and who calls them? I completely understand that the police have to be called, but who calls the media?
Are the citizens calling them?
Are the police calling them?
Does the media have a international contract with law enforcement? - It looks as though they probably do.
And finally, are people obligated to call them?
Police Band Radios. My mom used to have several, and could hear all the police dispatch info. (educated guess) no one is obligated to call the media
the newspaper that I work for has a police scanner-- plus, tips always come in.
I hope your newspaper’s scanner is better than the one they had in Lou Grant newsroom. That thing never did anything but blink… if they had it on at all.
