Science errors in Batman the Brave and the Bold. Why can’t they get these things right?

And I really do love this show. Has some amazing voicework, hilarious silver-age-ish situations, and fantastic singin of all things. I mean, how can you not love a show with Aquaman’s rousing song of heroism?

… and the “Fish to Talk With” add-on for the action figures didn’t sell very well.

Yeah, while it was first run, I watched it with my grandson every week. He isn’t into superheroes, but he did love watching it with me, just because it was funny and the stories were strictly at the same kid’s level as when I was his age. Aquaman had much more personality in that show than he ever had in a comic.

This might be true for other super-strong heroes like The Hulk. For Superman, if he is using telekinesis, then it’s like picking up a grape with telekinesis. If he’s using aura of invulnerability, then it’s like gently contacting the grape with a needle point, then boosting its structural integrity. Once that’s done, then it’s like putting a marble or steel ball on a needle point, and it doesn’t sink in like a grape.

He must be able to turn it on and off at will, otherwise punching the bad guys would have no effect.

Obviously, heavy water is a vital ingredient in bat-shark-repellent.

Holy Convenient Plot Device, Batman!

OK, now all I can think of is two guys in a rowboat paddling like mad to avoid going over a waterfall, but failing. When they fall and hit the bottom of the waterfall, it explodes like a car going over a cliff in any movie or TV show.

This needs to be on film.

Deliverance, Rebooted.

Directed by Uwe Boll and Michael Bay.

Every time I watch it, I end up raving* about it on Facebook and Twitter, because I can not understate how much love it.

  • rave, Kermit-flail in glee, same thing…

What… was that ?

“You don’t look roused”

That was beautiful.

I’m awake, right? This is actually happening?

What was that?

That, my friends, is just one example of why the DC Animated Universe is the best on-screen comic book adaptation yet.
