Scientology deaths

I really didn’t have a clue where to put this. In this thread, Q.E.D. said that he’d never seen a reputable source make claims that the Church of Scientology had killed people, and since that thread had been hi-jacked enough, I thought I’d put it here.

So, for everyone who hasn’t heard of this before, here are a couple of sites dealing with the death of Lisa McPherson:

Operation Clambake remains the best resource for information on the negative sides of Scientology.

If you read the stories there of former $cienos who used to be in the SeaOrg, you’ll hear them talking about people tossed overboard from LRH’s luxury Tax Evasion Yacht. I assumed those people died too since there wasn’t any land around, which I why in that thread I claimed multiple deaths, rather than just Lisa McPherson’s. From all accounts, cientology was absolutely crazy during the last years of LRH's life, and all sorts of things might have gone on. So probably multiple deaths any way you cut it. Their discipline methods are draconian at best. Lisa McPherson's death just shows that the David Miscaviage era of the Co is no cleaner than it used to be.

And believing that every disease is psychosomatic must have cost thousands of lives in people who sought legitimate medical attention too late. Some were probably just too brainwashed to try to leave.

Oh yeah, RexDart, I’m not claiming Lisa McPherson is the only person whose death was caused, directly or indirectly, by the Church of Scientology. I just used it since it’s the best-documented case (as far as I know).

Not a person involved, but definitely a good window into the “ethics” of this fake, wicked, money-grubbing UFO cult.
