Let me guess, what media told you that? IIRC Wilson was a republican, his uncle was the republican governor of California. And I think Wilson donated to the GW’s presidential campaign. I think Valerie Plame said much later that no, “they are not republicans now” after what they did to them.
You don’t realize that the point depends on having correct information. Wilson was not only giving his opinion, time showed that he was giving us the** facts**.
That should have been the signal to investigate and have another Woodward (the last century version, the current one was more in bed with the administration too) start investigating to point congress to do their job like they did against Nixon.
But it was important to poison the well the media was drinking from regarding the weapons of mass destruction. The reaction of the Bush administration against Wilson makes sense only by adding the mainstream media into the mix.

Even if the next president is a democrat I can count on many democrats in congress jumping to support many Republican ideas and to go against the president if there are any improprieties going on. I do expect to see many of the powers granted and allowed by congress to this yahoo president to be taken away the nanosecond a democrat is elected, a good result. Electing a Republican president will guarantee more of the same that we have now.

If I were a modern day socialist – such as the Clintons are – I would run for office on the promise that none of the poor would ever pay taxes. My argument has to do with hiring people to make these descisions for us. I don’t want to hire them. This prosecustion thing is growing government and taking the power out of our hands. Government needs to take a hands off approach to these things and let justice take it’s course. Not possible in this environment. What I do know is that Scooter gets what Bill does. It should be nothing in my book. The people in this case should front the $$ to hold the case if they want to, not you and me.
