Scotty, Sulu, or Chekov?

Ladies?

Ok, I’m not female, but Sulu turned out to be gay and Chekov turned into Bester.

Just something to bear in mind when making your choice.

Scotty, but I’d ask – no, tell, but nicely – him to ditch the polyester and don a kilt.

Not that I’ve ever considered this prurient possibility, but now that you prompt my dirty mind to go where it’s never gone before, I suppose the Scottster could teach me a few things about premium scotches and whiskeys and maybe be good for a chess game or two. I bet he could also teach me something about the mechanics of engines and machine maintenance, always a good thing to know.

And I’ve never had a lover who called me a “bonnie lass” or “lassie,” which I imagine a Scot of his vintage might do. That’s gotta be as good a reason as any for this sort of poll…

Sulu, definitely. Who cares if he’s gay, he can make love to me with that VOICE. Read me the phone book, ooh baby . . .

Oh, my.

Scotty, because of the accent.

Rowr.

The Scrivener, he did wear a kilt AND played bagpipes, remember?

At Spock’s funeral in WoK

Sulu, no question. And I cannot recall that Sulu was gay, only the actor who played the character. The Sulu I remember was way hot stuff without a shirt and hade a very sexy scene with the Uhura when playing in the Evil Universe.

Well, when I was younger, I had a huge crush on Chekov. But as a more mature adult, I’d take Scotty. Especially remembering the episode where he was accused of killing a woman that he was falling in love with.

I wish. At the present stardate, the only Trek flicks I’ve seen are II [“Khan!!!”] and the one where they save the whales [IV?], which pretty much turned me off the series. Still like the original TV show, though.

And since we’re all talking dirty about Scotty, Sulu and Chekhov, I wonder what Scotty would emote during moments of erotic ecstasy?

“I can’t… take it… any further! Ahhh…” [pause] “Was that good fer ya, me lassie? And can I fix you another Macallan, m’dear?”

What’s a “Bester”?

The one on the opposite side of the chart from the Worster.

Actually it’s a psychic cop from the Babylon 5 TV series. He’s a snide jerk in the series and a thorn in the side of the main characters.

Chekov. I’m a sucker for a fake Russian accent.

Bester was the super-evil guy who ran the PsiCops in Babylon 5. Still kinda cute though, for an old guy.

Doh! Thanks… I thought “Bester” was some kind of LGBT kind of term I never run acrosst.

Chekov was always a favorite when I was younger. He was cute.

Alfred Bester was a recurring villain on Babylon 5, played by the same fellow as Chekov.

If it were, I’m sure the Russians would have invented it.

Sulu. With no shirt, a fencing foil, and a mad, ecstatic grin. Without that episode, there might have been a contest.

George Takei is gay, yes. But Sulu, not necessarily so. Those of you who haven’t cast Generations into the dustbin will no doubt remember Sulu’s daughter was on the bridge of the Enterprise-B. I know that having a child is not always certain proof of a person’s heterosexuality, but there you have it.

Sulu in a non gay sort of way. Great voice.

Yeah, we know. It’s just tongue-in-cheek (heh) shorthand, like when everybody was crying because Superman was paralyzed, OK?
