Congratulations on your accomplishment, Isamu! I’m not a DIY-er, I’m more of a "GSETDI-er, but I think I understand the dynamic here. Not only do DIY-ers save money by completing tasks themselves, but they also gain emotional satisfaction as well.

A chainsaw would be a one-way ticket to divorce divorce tool Johnny Appleseed… I ain’t saying its not an option, just I know the limits. :stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t know how it works in Japan, but in US suburbia, all I have to do is mention that I have a job for a chainsaw and I immediately have 4 or 5 neighbors and friends volunteering to let me borrow theirs. I always go with the offer that starts, “let me come cut that for you.”

So far I’ve avoided having to buy a chainsaw. In a related matter, I still have all of my toes.

Years ago, my first power tool was an electric drill. That caused me to independently discover the well known corollary to the well known “hammer” rule—if the only tool you have is an electric drill, then everything needs a hole in it.

Finally, for impact fun, check out the Torque Test channel on youtube. They compare things like the maximum torque from various 1/4" and 1/2" impact drivers. Also, how much torque can you get from a 1/2" impact driver when you attach a 60cc 2-stroke engine to it? What does it do to the torque when you add nitrous?
