No, they won’t. It’s a pretty standard fundraising technique, used all over the US by lots of organizations, and most participants don’t bat an eye at it. A little bit of education may be needed at times, but this is the first time this organization has run an event like this.
It’s a mountain out of a molehill, and I seriously doubt it will change their fundraising strategy.
