And where it is in the book the “evil” is done with direct permission and the direction of god…e.g. Job.
But most Abrahamic theiests ignore that also.

I thought it was on the back, under mono-sodium glutamate.
Yep, in fact most well studied Christians will tell you that Satan is either a part of God or in his employ one way or another. It’s his Good god bad god routine. IE God believes in entrapment.
Who was the Serpent if not Satan?
No, it isn’t. The Fall refers to the whole human race that was to follow. Sin & death enters the world through one man, and that one man is Adam.
The Serpent corrupted Adam and Eve in a bid to lead the whole human race astray. And it worked.
How do you know?
Satan is a part of God inasmuch as he is being created by God. By they are not one and the same. You snark about things you don’t understand.
Just a serpent. God punished the serpent by making it crawl in the dirt from then on. Since there is no mention in the Bible of Satan being forced to crawl in the dirt, I think it is safe to assume that he is a different character than the serpent mentioned in the tale of Adam and Eve.

You can improve your biblical literacy by reading the Bible yourself, Bryan. That is the best way.
And you keep bringing up things that aren’t in the Bible. You really should read the book before you correct others about its contents.
If you don’t know, just say so.
I am in a position to correct you, here.
Then do so, with cites.
Do you have an aversion to reading the Bible?
I have read it from cover to cover, which you would already know if you had bothered to read my posts instead of getting overly defensive about your inability to provide any cites for your claims.
No, I used to play this little game with online atheists. But not anymore.
Not backing up any of your claims about the Bible is only a game to you? I can imagine how all the others felt when you played your little “game” with them.
I believe it is, but you can believe whatever you want. We could argue about this, but sooner or later the thread would be closed.
The authority with which you do so has not been established.
No, it ain’t. The best way is to study some kind of companion that puts the books in historical context. I recommend Asimov’s Guide to the Bible.
If you’ve read the Bible cover-to-cover, my input is unnecessary. I’d rather not get into a scriptural argument with someone who doesn’t believe me anyway. If your aim is to Hitchslap my statements and make me look stupid, I’d rather not interact with you. If you are sincerely interested in improving your understanding of Scripture but don’t like what I have to say, that’s understandable.
