The trade value chart puts the move up at 500. Your second round pick is worth 530. So, if you want to swap picks, conventional thinking is that you must give me your second round pick, and I’ll make up the 30 by giving you back a sixth round pick.
From a personal standpoint, if I were sold on Claiborne and/or Blackmon, I’d likely let it go for your third rounder in 2012 and a second rounder in 2013. That way I’d get value this year and next year without losing a player I really like. Unfortunately, I’m not sold on Claiborne and Blackmon (but I am on Kalil) so picking Kalil has more value to me than that. So I’d stick with asking for your second round pick this year and giving you our 6th.
