Every few weeks I’m going to post our scores in descending order to show what the standings would be if we were playing a points-only league instead of head to head.

Ugh, DeAngelo williams is out for the year after I dumped Stewart. I mean, Stewart was horrible even when he was the starter and did nothing but post tiny fantasy scores every time I started him, but just having a clear starter in this league has to have some value. Or maybe not, I don’t know, Carolina is so bad.
I mean, I’m better off with Charles/Best/Felix Jones I’d imagine, but I’m gonna bite everyone in the face if Stewart turns out to be something.
If someone wants to gamble on Keiland Williams becoming the Washington starter (and with Shanahan, who knows… he put up 30 fantasy points last week) I’d be willing to move him for a top defense.
My projected score this week is 131.27. I’m not going to look back through the year to see if that’s the highest projected score ever, but I’m guessing it is.
Ha, I’ve had good luck this year with backup RBs. There was the Brandon Jackson situation (and he’s gotten to the point of being actually useful), and this weekend I picked up Stewart in the this league ($3) and the He Hate Me league (and already had him in the dynasty league).
It’s looking like he’ll miss this week, but after that I imagine he’ll be at least decent.
Yeah, it doesn’t really matter. I’ve got Best/Felix Jones/Charles and I doubt Stewart was going to unseat any of them. And I’ve got Keiland Williams for a sneaky upside backup guy in the great Shanahan roulette.
Jonathan Stewart didn’t produce when he was the clear #1. I don’t know if it’s because Carolina was just that bad or what.
I got an e-mail from CMFD a few minutes after the game started
I’m inclined to grant his wish - clearly he didn’t mean to start Pennington who’s been on IR, and he probably just mentally went over “do I have anyone playing tonight that I need to adjust my roster for? No.” and forgot to remove Pennington from the starting slot. So he’s not gaming the system here, just made an oversight, and I’m inclined not to punish him for it.
I’m fine with it. Thursday night games can be a pain and I can understand someone forgetting to switch out a QB if he didn’t need to drop Pennington immediately.
If I can manage to beat Not Sure (Caddillac Williams TD? REALLY?), and if Garcon’s Cedillia continues to lay an egg, I will retake my rightful place at #1.
Btw, I don’t think Steve Slaton has scored a point in weeks, he’s not the returner anymore, so you might want to stick Goodson in a RB slot and you can use your flex for a WR or TE.
Well, i didn’t really kick anyone’s ass, but unless Darren Sproles has the best game of his life for CMFD tonight, i should come away with my third victory of the season. And i’ve got Malcolm Floyd making his comeback to the Chargers, in a lineup without Antonio Gates and possibly Legedu Naanee, so i could add some points myself.
I finally got production across the board this week: a decent (though not great) performance from Schaub, and 20+ points from each of Reggie Wayne, Cedric Benson, and Fred Jackson. I even got 14 out of my kicker (Ravens’ Cundiff), and the Philly D stood up strong to the Giants and added 13.
Of course, Drew Brees finally decides to throw a few balls to Robert Meachem after i give up on the Saints WR. If i had played Meachem instead of Atlanta’s Douglas, i would already be up in 140-point territory. I guess it’s no A+ for me as manager this week.
