After a failed attempt to construct a schedule from scratch, we finally have it set up roughly as we want. Everyone will play their first three divisional games during the first half of the season, most within the first five weeks. Everyone plays a divisional game in Week 1. In Weeks 8-11 there are no divisional games: everyone hits the road. Finally, the last three weeks are entirely intra-divisional.
This set-up is mostly an accident of the way Yahoo auto-generates the schedule, but I like it. And even if I didn’t, I’m sick of tinkering with it.
Sucks that yahoo doesn’t do the obvious thing automatically.
As long as it’s set up to face each divisional opponent twice and everyone else once, we’re good to go.
So today is 9/9/9. We won’t see another date that repeats like that until 1/1/2101, almost a century. Which is fitting, because on this day I plan to build a dynasty that will last that long. The calendar itself has arranged itself to commemorate my fantasy football greatness.

I guess even though 10-10-10 is the same sort of number, they’re looking at is as one-zero-one-zero-one-zero rather than nine-nine-nine.

Damn, I spent about 5 hours today putting together a pre-ranking list, but (A) I’m still not done, and (B) I know I’m gonna take 85 seconds to make every pick. I was just running some 1st Round scenarios in my head, and in hardly any of them could I come up with a player I know I’d take for sure.
I have my list full of 300 non-def non-kicker players.
