That offense ought to support 3 WRs no problem. Will be interesting to see if he ends up with long term value.
I was surprised McKenzie was available. He’s taking over the Cole Beasley role and he’s pretty much guaranteed 70 catches.
So untrue. Gabriel Fucking Davis will catch 200 passes, and 30 of those will be when he catches McKenzie and the football at the same time and carries them on his back as he runs for another 60 yard touchdown.
Gabe Dave gonna be a sober Josh Fucking Gordon.
We’ve been stuck on Dale’s pick for a significant portion of this draft, and we’re hitting 12 hours since he’s been up, but we’re doing fine on time and should finish up, so let’s just be patient. I don’t want to call a clock on his pick in the middle of the night. But I want to be able to use the afternoon to get a bunch of picks done, so let’s say 6 hours - at 11 eastern we’ll move on to the next pick.
Sorry for the delay, just seems like my picks come up when I’m either in bed or not checking my phone.
3.12-Jerome Ford, RB, CLE
@Spiritus_Mundi is up
While technically true, that is also true for many of our drafts. When I put it into that context, dale has actually been picking pretty quick this year. His only delays have been overnight. Remember that year he was traveling and ended up making two picks over 24 hours each because he was on a friggin’ airplane or whatever?
I think the reason it feels like it stands out this year is because everybody else is going really quick. (Except me. I’ve been slow compared to my history, but still within 4-5 hours.)
All that to say I think dale’s doing fine, plus we’re doing great on time overall. Shouldn’t be any need to skip him today, I don’t think. I may change my tune once we get to early afternoon if he still hasn’t made his pick, but for now, I think we’re good.
EDIT: lol, should have previewed. His post has been up for 10 whole minutes. Doh!

Yay, I actually want this guy.

Terrible situation but I do love me a preseason hero. Hopefully he’ll turn into the RB equivalent of Victor Cruz, not Darius Slayton.

Quick question: Why am I missing my 3.11 pick? After the trade and cuts, I had 4 spots to fill, but now I don’t have the 3.11 pick, instead its 7.01.
After the cuts, I traded 2 players for the #1 draft pick, and had 4 spots to fill. Why did my last pick become 7.01 instead of 3.11?
You traded away two players for one draft pick after the cuts?
Okay, I see what happened. You can’t do an unbalanced trade like that going into the draft, so Mundi’s last pick went to you so that it would be an even swap.
Before the trade, when you did your cuts, did you have 23 guys giving you two draft picks? That’s what it looks like happened.
You never actually had 3.11 as a pick. You may have missed the correction i posted because it was bundled with another correction, but you started the draft with 2 picks, not 3.
So 3.11 was a kept player. 1.01 went to you and Mundi’s last pick as part of your trade, and you kept 1.11 and 2.11
Why is that? We made cuts, so we both had roster space for the swap. Why this unnecessary requirement that I lose a draft puck?
Did you keep 23 guys?
Again, why? We make cuts, have roster spots, then trade is made. Then we set draft order, and draft. Why make this difficult?
Hamlet, you originally posted your cuts with 7 cuts, giving you 3 picks. (HERE)
You later corrected your cuts to keep Boston Scott, (HERE) giving you 6 cuts and only 2 picks. When you posted it the second time, you forgot to edit last line that said that you had 3 picks. But this was incorrect after keeping Boston Scott. You never had 3.11 as an open pick
This isn’t a rule anyone here made, it’s a rule out of necessity because of the way Yahoo handles the draft. You don’t have picks until the trade is finalized. The cuts happens first (giving you 2 picks to replace the open roster spots). Then the open spots become actual picks. Then the trade happens. At this point, the draft order is already set, so it doesn’t make sense for you to trade 2 for 1 and then slide in between people in the existing draft order because you made a trade after the order was set. Since you have to start the season with exactly 25 players (Yahoo rule), all trades during the draft must be in even numbers. this is why you have to get a last pick back when you trade 2 for 1
If you kept 23 guys, you only get two draft picks: 1.11 and 2.11. That’s how our draft picks work.
After cut down, you then traded two guys away, getting two picks in return: 1.1 and 7.1. Those plus the two you got from cutdowns get you to 4 picks.
So yahoo mandates that the draft order is set before any trades can happen?
