If the trade went through, Royal would have started for Gonzo and McNabb would be my QB.
I’d have started Gonzo over Gronkowski and Bess for the missing Royal.
Damn it, Gonzo scored 2 TDs today…
I’m probably even more unhappy about that than you are.
Bah. I figured this was going to happen. Bucket of aids.
Don’t beat yourself up. I should’ve pushed to clarify earlier.
For the record, if the trade had gone through my intended roster would’ve put up 112.77, beating Ellis Dee’s 101.11. Instead, my actual score is 94.93.
Justin Bailey’s team would be leading 80.78 to 70.41 with McNabb still to play. But Omni still has players active so it’s too early to tell if it would’ve been game changing yet.
I accepted the trade 12:03pm friday, which was 45 hours 57 minutes (48 required) before gametime. Blah.
I’m not lobbying for a fix, btw, just venting I guess.
We should have all rushed out to put exotic bets on Gonzo’s performance today, since it was inevitable he was gonna score a ton of fantasy points just to fuck with us.
I just hope I can make the playoffs. I know my start is flukey good and I really need the wins because I don’t know how the points tiebreaker is going to shake out. My team is not deep and not very star studded. Winning or losing here might end up being the determining event of whether or not I make the playoffs at all.
And the cherry on top is that Tebow got a bunch of snaps. I’m pretty sure next week they’re going to announce Tebow is the starter and they stuffed Orton in a dumpster like a prom night baby, which will cause Tony Gonzalez to become so disgusted with the sport that he retires the next day.
Funnily enough, Gonzo was held without a catch until the second half, too.
You and me both. I see a precipitous FF fall from here on out, and not just in this league. Not counting this asterisked win, I’m about to go 0-3 this week.
Yeah, I checked the scores at halftime and thought eh oh well looks like I won’t be agonized and then boom.
Why the he’ll did I try to sneak Torrain under the radar? I’m gonna end up finishing the season with 100 faab dollars and no players.
You know what sucks that I just realized? It looks like I’m probably moving up to the #1 slot in the big league. And I’m crushing the auction league. So had I won this game, I’d be the #1 slot in 3 of my 4 leagues.
Oh my fantasy woes.
And Orton put up 5.5 points in the first half. I thought he finally crashed down to earth the one times I started him, but he came through. If I didn’t have Vick coming back, I’d almost have second thoughts.
I needed a huge game from Ryan Torain to have a chance of beating furt, and I only got a large one. I need Marcedes Lewis to outscore Vince Young and MJD. Riiiight.
Good thing I saved that whole $10 FAAB dollars not grabbing Torain.
I need Tennessee’s Defense to score 9.25 fantasy points, no more, no less.
I’m winning in the All-Pro league by 10.10 points with my opponent having the Titans left to go tonight and I’m losing in the Dynasty league by 9.21 points with my teams having only the Titans left to go. I’m likely to lose one and win one league unless the Titans score in that sweet spot in the middle, adjusting for differences in scoring of course. Yikes.
In HHM 4 points from Chris Johnson gets me a W, which seems like a safe bet, and I need Mike Sims-Walker to outscore Mercedes Lewis by fewer than 1.14 points. All in all, quite a dynamic game for my fantasy fates tonight.
Well, 3 out of 4 ain’t bad.
It is in my case!
Edit: I mean I won my 3 other leagues.
Son of a bitch…
That’s two weeks in a row now that I’ve lost due to points I left on the bench. I swear, I will never understand the Ravens’ treatment of Willis McGahee. One week, he’ll get a dozen carries, 80 or so yards and a TD. The next week, they don’t give him the ball once.
I think they’re doing it just to mess with me.
ETA: And Eddie Royal might be hurt!
