Has Bruno Cheyrou been playing and scoring like a …footballer, including two good goals against the Magpies, for the past weeks?
Have I been sniffing too much glue? Or not enough?
Has the world gone mad?!?

Yes, I think we’ll win with some to spare at the Lane, providing Pleat doesn’t have another funny turn with the midfield. Talking of which, Ziege put in a solid 90 mins for the reserves last night, and Redknapp expects to do the same next week . . . going to get crowded in that midfield before long . . .
Btw, this seems to clear up any confusion as to who holds Rebrov’s registration e.g. Spurs.
Four days of this window left and the rumours are really starting to fly – don’t even know where to start. Glad when it’s all over.
Villa are at least £25 mill down the crapper - not sufficient info to say exactly how much.
By my estimate, Spurs, with this share offer, will be debt free by the end of ths season minus only whatever we buy in this window. As the actress said to the Bishop it’s a nice position to be in.
Money wise - we’ve been fine since sugar took over (and our “plight” before that was greatly exaggerated). THe problem is we’ve tried to be too clever by half with it.
We’ve spent £25m more than the filth since 1992, but we’ve spent it on rebrov, fox, ferdinand etc - ie second choice players. They have spent a bit more eg: Fox £4m, Ljundberg £5m; ferdinand 36m, berkamp £7m; Rebrov £11m, Henry £10m . It’s easy to see who got the value there.
A lot of this has been a result of our revolving door on the manager’s office.
Let’s see how trappatoni gets on.
Leeds struggle on - I am at a loss as to how they turned down our bid of £10m for robinson and millner, given that we were happy to leave them at Elland Rd until May. They may well be coming back to us on this I suspect.
There you go again with your off-the-wall statements. If you really think Spurs would offer £10 mill up front, loan back and no strings then there’s this bridge just down the road I can let you have for an absolute song . . .
I suspect Leeds are finally being a little clever. And about bloody time. They’ve got a couple of former managers to defer payments until the summer, they’ve done a deal with ManUre for the (reduced) balance of the Ferdinand deal and one or two other bits and pieces – all of which means they might even scrape through until the summer without letting the vultures (i.e. us) take their future at cut-price.
Good f*cking luck to them. For the supporters, I hope they manage it.
I don’t think I can agree with you on the buying policy of the last ten years, either. The Gooners are hardly a sensible comparison because of the exception that is Wenger – he’s a one-off and when he leaves, they’ll be just one of the pack again. Even with Henry, Wenger bought a reasonable link player (a la Sherringham) who couln’t finish at all well and transformed him . . .
So a fairer comparison for Spurs is with anyone from Newcastle and Liverpool to, say, Villa and Everton
Fwiw, I like the sound of this Irish kid Yeates. It struck me that there might come a time in the not very distant future when half the Irish team could be at the Lane:
Keane
Carr
Doherty
Kelly
Yeates
Re Millner and Robinson - not me Guv - Danny Levy to the Supporters Trust. I too can’t see the point of this - once again our ace dealmakers being too clever by half no doubt.
Now; if you still have a stock of slightly shop soiled bridges (presumable we’re not talking Wayne Bridges here?) you should get yerself down to N17 sharpish - as anyone who would pay £11m for Rebrov, £8m for Postigia and offer £30 to an undercover policewoman for a nosh would bite yer arm off for a piece of prime real estate like a bridge.
Now: Mid winter breaks: A necessary thing or an opportunity for overseas tours and meaningless friendlies? A nation decides.
Also; the transfer window has been extended to Monday 2nd feb at 5pm. So look lively Levy!
Levy wouldn’t have said anything meaningful to a couple of self-important bar stool oiks, imho of course.
Mid-winter breaks. The manager wants 'em, so why not . . he sometimes seems to know what he’s doing (mainly Ulrika from behind).
The absolute motherlode of cobblers (and real stuff) is here:

Also works for other clubs - just adjust the url accordingly.
sweeet baby Jesus. These people are not like us ordinary folks.

Karaoke. What ever next? Surely the current popularity of Rugby means that these people will all be at twickenham?
I see they’ve got a spot of Opera planned for half time, you and the missus like all that, don’t you Owl ? Or was that the tight-trousers and dancing version ?
How sad can they be that they need karaoke to get the fans to sing . . . from the Highbury Library to Cashburton cemetery . . . what is the world coming to.
Funnily enough, I just added newsnow to my favourites last week - as you suggest it’s a stream of tabloid nonsense, but probably acceptable while the window remains open - how much time I’ve wasted on made-up stories this month I’d hate to say . . .

It’s big, but sensitive, men in tights we go in for.
Appropos of nothing - we’ve fucked off Blondel back to Belgium.
Also: Sky have moved our possible MUFC cup game to 12:30 on a Saturday. The utter, utter cunts.
More than Blondel, Toda’s gorn East and Acimovoviciwehatsit’s off to France. With Marney at QPR on loan and Carr off to the Barcodes, we now have a first team squad of . . . 26. Which is 4 short, at a minimum – one assumes Robinson is coming in this window but I’m starting to worry . . . we do have things up our sleeve, don’t we Pleat ?
26 is borderline insane.
Ah yes, men in tights; its all that juggling of the Jaffa oranges that get 'em going, I believe. Enough to make my eyes water - pull down the blinds, please Matron, I’m having a turn . . .
Leicester seem to have signed Steffen Freund on loan. Heigh-ho.
I LURVE Steffan freund and miss him dearly. He’ll be good for leicester - Robbie Savage lite.
He might even score for you (probably against us).
Well It’s deadline day. A nation awaits with baited breath, and it looks like we have signed Robinson for £2m, and we WILL be loaning him back to leeds until may (I have no idea how we think this is a good idea, but much of what goes on at the Lane is a mystery to me).
And after watching the Anelka bust up against the library I got to thinking: What footballers are there out there who could really have a proper fight?
The two that spring to mind are Barlinnie Duncan Ferguson (duffer-up of burglars) and Roy Keane (talented boxer in his youth)
Owl, ha ha, he probably will score for us, against you. Sort of ironic thing that happens at Leicester.
And we probably still will go down.
I am, to put it very mildly, concerned and pissed off.
Haemorrhaging goals now.
We really need results against clubs in the bottom half, so looking at our fixtures, that’s Spurs, Wolves, Everton, Leeds, Blackburn and Pompey.
Unfortunately, it all seems to come down to “are we having a good day” and “are they having a bad day”. We don’t have the consistency of results, consistency of attitude, consistency of work rate or even consistency of skill sometimes. Over a bloody game, not just over a spell of games, or the season so far. We sit back when we’re ahead (although to his credit, Micky does give the players enough of a bollocking if they’ve thrown a game away so that they don’t do it again for the next few games) and we give up when we’re behind.
Whatever happened to hanging on for grim death? That’s the Leicester way, ffs.
That’s what Spurs need; a shortage of midfielders so three more exit in this window and we buy in a ‘keeper – that makes four ‘keepers except we can’t use this one until next season (loaned back to Leeds).
Squad number is still down at 27. Which is tighter than a Nuns arse.
4 ½ hours remaining . . . we really could do with a midfield.
Micky Adams; I know everyone says what a nice guy he is and what a good manager he is but . . . that wasn’t good . . . ?
I have no view as I really don’t know enough about the man.
All Change All Change!
Those wishing to continue their journey to Februarymay proceed up the escalator and turn right. Thang yew.
