Well, I’ve been online since around 1994, so it’s possible that at some point I passed the word on to someone else online. I moved to Seattle in the summer of 1990 and was already using the word. I have a very bad habit of creating my own vocabulary, but that word was one that just worked and continues to be used regularly.
