My wife and I have a new favorite Brazilian Steakhouse place: Galpão Gaucho, 19780 Stevens Creek Blvd, in Cupertino CA. We just tried it earlier this week.
Delicious! We’ve been to Fogo de Chão and a couple of other Brazilian Steakhouse places through the years. Fogo de Chão was really good when they first started years ago, but their quality and service have fallen off. Galpão Gaucho was excellent.
My plate includes gold-flake steak at the lower right — directly on top of the fork. You actually eat the thin gold foil. My first at this. I think it’s a gimmick… just meh. But the rest of the meats were great.
Their knives weren’t very sharp so I used my pocket knife and that’s what’s on my plate, a Microtech knife, very sharp. I tipped generously. Including the tip the lunch was $150 for the two of us. A special, rare treat. Tasty.
