I took an entire college class on zone photography and we calibrated our cameras to do such, so I know quite a bit about the process - there’s a certain quality to those photos that’s unmistakable.
My comment was in no way a criticism of a lovely photo. Just a thought.
@Spiderman , here’s what the leaves looked like on Friday, when I went back with some Kodak Gold 200:
I still prefer black and white.
And I definitely do not have anything calibrated to that point!
To be frank, the shutter mechanism on most traditional film cameras is off by a half stop or more, with little consistency across the range. I have a fancy shutter tester gadget that tells me the bad news on my various cameras, so I just go with the flow.
To do a proper job of it I’d be shooting 6x6 (my largest camera) and using one of those 1-degree spot meters to get things dialed in perfect.
So, as the Brazilians say, quem não tem cão caça com gato: “if you don’t have a dog, you hunt with a cat!”
Perhaps most importantly, we would need a volunteer to manage the calendar creation process.

Sorry for the late entry, I’ve slept in my house 4 nights in the past three weeks, & three of those I wasn’t even home yet at 10pm.
I think it’s noteworthy that every entry for October got at least one vote. A great collection of photos!
Something tells me that @Strinka is looking forward to Thanksgiving ;). Everyone get out your food pron filters, lol. This is a perfect month to shoot to the brief for us USians.
But it closes before Thanksgiving so you can’t upload you’re pretty bird from this year.
I don’t really do a lot of food porn shots so I may need to get a little, ahhh, creative this month; yanno, like a side of beef, well, two sides of beef, still attached…& breathing. 
Nah, that’s probably stretching things a bit too far.
Seriously, if you want to see something interesting look up some of the tips & tricks they use for food photos in magazines ads & such. They’re not just taking one photo but maybe taking pics over a period of hours, which means things need to stay intact & look good for a lot longer than you’d need just to snap a cell phone photo before you eat it. That yummy bowl of cereal pictured on the box may not be in milk but in glue! That turkey photo your seeing later this month may be shellacked so it keeps that glow for a while under the hot studio lights. Basically, you wouldn’t want to eat exactly what was in the photo.
The place I used to take cooking classes at (now sadly closed) also ran a class on food photography, which I took. It turned out to be a lot of fun, and we did use food you’d actually want to eat. None of this ‘making mashed potatoes look like ice cream’ kind of stuff.

I’m mad at myself. I was the grocery yesterday and since I hadn’t submitted a photo for this month, I took some shots in the bakery area to see if I could get anything interesting. I did get one and forgot to upload it last night. 
It’s too late now for the contest but I’m going to share it anyway because I like it. Good luck to all the great entries for this month!
