On the Road December poll is up.
Reminder: Please do not discuss specific entries until poll has closed.
As always, vote early, vote often!

Well, I was able to narrow it down to five. And then I went through the thread again, and again narrowed it down to five, except I think it wasn’t the same five. And then went through again, and chose more or less arbitrarily.
Now that the poll is up…
I always have a difficult time deciding what photo to use. I think my tastes tend to not align very well with the majority of humanity. I was going to post this one:
with this as a 2nd choice:
But went for the buffalo instead.
Thank you, Mr. Mustard!
I like the neon motel better than the walker or the bison.
I must be the same. I think the walker picture is by far the best of any in the competition.
Interesting voting this month because there were a lot of similar choices, plus some very unique takes on the theme. It was tricky to decide. I feel like my choices mostly came down to composition.
You are welcome.

I knew what photo I wanted to put in but it wasn’t on my phone. (It was a good one!) There were a couple of other good ones (light trails & other motion) on my phone but accidentally forgot to get anything in; at least I managed to vote.
Congratulations to @romansperson, our December winner!

Even though it didn’t place in the top 3 this month, my entry is one of my favorite photos I’ve ever taken; I’ve got it hanging in my dining room. Apropos of a discussion upthread, it was a very lucky shot taken with a pretty crappy point and shoot. I was on vacation in Ireland when I saw that wagon driving down a road at Muckross House in Killarney. I quickly pulled out my camera, lined it up as best I could, and was only able to take one photo before the wagon moved out of the right spot. No fancy equipment, no time to set up, and much more luck than skill, but the result has always pleased me.
Yeah, there were a lot of good, more-or-less conventional, photos this month. Which is what you want for hanging in your house. But because there were so many good conventional photos, I felt that I had to go for the unconventional ones to be able to vote for only three.
I actually liked @Jeff_Lichtman (the reflection off the chrome wheel) the best, though @romansperson 's oil slick was also one of my votes, so I can’t complain too much.
I enjoyed the use of perspective in @Twoflower’s and @WildaBeast’s photos, so they got my votes, along with the perfect composition of @Mean_Mr.Mustard’s photo.
Ditto. It’s a piece of art I’d expect to see displayed in a public place.
I voted for your photo - it looks like what I imagine The Shire would look like if it were a real place. And @Frodo’s photo could be Rivendell (for a good username/post combo).
Aw, thanks
Congrats on your win - I loved the colors in yours!
Congratulations to @romansperson ! That picture is both beautiful and creative. Well seen!
Thank you.
Your entry got one of my votes. 'twas the red coats of the riders that made the photo, IMO.
