SDMB on HDTV for the ultimate couch potato experience

I don’t have to get off the couch anymore to browse online. Here is my new monitor. Throw in a wireless keyboard and mouse, and I’m in couch potato heaven!

Holy Batshit, Robin! That’s what I call Extreme Dope[sup]TM[/sup]

Wow, holy crap!

I agree, I surf this way too - but mine is bigger! (7 feet diagonal for the curious.)

HDTV rocks!

God that’s funny! I was ready to be insanely jealous ("hell of a way to announce you got a honkin’ great TV), but thanks for sharing the moment with a picture.

Just you wait. Someday I’ll sell my novel and I’ll buy a BIGGER set!

How quaint.

Sweet merciful crap.

A couple weeks ago, I saw the UGa/Auburn game on HDTV at the Sony Store in the Eaton Centre in Toronto. I could not believe how much better a football game looked in HDTV, not only in terms of picture clarity, but the aspect ratio–in 16:9, you can see everyone on the field. Last year, CBS showed a basketball game (Michigan State vs. someone, I wanted to start a thread about it but it was during the board outage) in 16:9 even to the non-HDTV audience, and it looked great. I wish they would do this more often.

I hate you all :frowning:
[sub]just kidding, jealousy makes me say funny things[/sub]

yojimboguy, still using rabbit ears?

drewbert made me scratch my head.

drewbert… finally, a proper display for a Mac - that Apple Cinema HD Display is SO lame…

btw, what is your electric bill these days?

Nothing compared to the travel cost of going to Times Square every time I want to surf.

In most places that is the only way to receive the HDTV signal.

Calling all freudians, calling all freudians

I now have MONITOR-SIZE ENVY,
like my other size-envy wasn’t enough…
