Why not render it inoperable and make it part of a collection?
Just wondering: Are poker games illegal?
Yes.
Unfortunately, the answer was “You can’t”.
The guy that sold him the weapon could have a change of heart and give him $50 bucks. But TV Time couldn’t give the weapon back to him. I’m pretty sure that would be considered ‘selling’ the weapon back to him.
IMO, if he gave it to the cops and said, “I got this in a card game, I think it may be illegal. Could you guys take it off my hands?”, the cops wouldn’t sweat him at all.
Poker games are never illegal. Gambling during the poker game is illegal in lots of places.
Simple Solution:
Call the police and tell them, “Hey! I just woke up and found this SOSG in my yard. What the hell do I do with it? You guys wanna come get it please?”
While it IS a lie, it takes care of the situation completely.
Would that work for body disposal too?
Um, aren’t comments like the one above what got the original thread closed in the first place?
Moderator’s note:
Bingo.
Sheesh, we’re honestly not trying to be beetle-browed fascists here, just protect The Reader. That may seem paranoid but it’s a case of better-safe-than-sorry. Since the OP TV Time–a fine, respected poster–isn’t upset, can we just put this puppy to bed?

OTOH, I haven’t oppressed anybody in simply ages. ::taps riding crop against boot:: Hot damn, all this and a mug too.
Seriously, if somebody wants to debate the general sense and need for the rule, please start a fresh thread. Please just refrain from dissecting specifics of the situation that could be construed as offering advice on how to break the law.
TVeblen,
