I saw it on TCM ( Turner Classic Movies ) perhaps a dozen years ago but forgot the title.
It was made/set in the mid-late 70s, maybe early 80s about a lonely middle-age woman, in Berlin IIRC, who comes to meet a a younger German speaking black man, which develops into a romance of sorts. Much of the movie is the social static both of the protagonists face from relatives, acquaintances and other neighborhood locals.
