Seasoning a cast iron pan - is rice bran oil okay?

I spotted that I had abused my cast-iron pan :frowning: and it needed seasoning. The only oils I have to hand are olive oil, butter, and rice bran oil. I know not to use the first two so used the last. Is this okay? A search on Google gives me conflicting results.

I’ve never used it, I’m a bacon man myself, but given the high smoke point of rice bran oil it seems like it would be appropriate. Let us know how it works out.
