25 is not that old to be hooking up with a college student. He could easily have also been a grad student or RA/TA living on campus. I find it weird that people want to date people with the same exact birthdate. And when it comes to purely sexual encounters, especially in the gay scene, age is even less of a concern except as it relates to attractiveness.

30 days, and the guy went out of his way to tamper with evidence and witnesses. That’s ridiculous. The evidence/witness tampering ALONE should have gotten him at least a year. I admit that for the harassment or whatever other charges there were, he probably didn’t deserve much. But trying to coerce witnesses to lie for you is a crime worthy of at least a year in prison, in my estimation.
You keep saying “teenager” as if it is relevant. The guy was a legal adult. This was not statutory rape or some other type of legally-questionable relationship. Your reaction to all this is pretty strange, IMO. Also, how do you know that the “other guy” wasn’t investigated by the police?
I tend to agree.
I said earlier in the thread that i didn’t think ten years would be an appropriate punishment, but i think that 30 days is too light, especially given his lying and tampering.
