Seeking advice on my hypothetical cat

Ricky posed! (And I figured out the picture posting)

Awwwwww.

Pretty Ricky!

– who doesn’t look like he’s going to stay put for very long!

Omg the paws! The ears! The whiskers!

I’m glad you got a tuxedo. He looks just like our female, right down to the mustache, bib and socks. They really are loving and friendly cats, IME, and I’ve had cats all my life.

Lucy will sit in the couch in the living room and meow towards the bedroom to get me up in the morning. Ricky prefers to just get up on the bed and stick his nose in my ear and purr loudly. When that doesn’t work, he’ll bite my fingers.

As for the “socks” - when my son saw him, he said he finally understood why people name cats “mittens”, since Ricky has white paws. And so that’s Ricky’s middle name.

Although I gotta say that Ricky Mittens sounds to me like a gangster from the 30’s.

Those whiskers are phenomenal. I gotta disagree with Gatopescado some people (me included!) wither away without animal companionship.

It’s especially adorable that their coloring is the opposite. So cute. Like, weapons-grade cute.

It has made an immediate improvement. I have a reason to open the blinds and windows in the morning (cats gotta look outside!), which brings in fresh air and natural light. And I get to smile and laugh when they’re being adorable - like this morning, when they went from some grooming to a wrestling move (where Lucy did the rabbit kick). Or when Lucy stretched out on her back to expose her belly. Or when Ricky played with the movements of the blanket when my feet shifted. Or when Ricky, exploring the bathroom, jumped into the tub. Or when they sat together last night, both tails fully outstretched on the ground, while they both ate their dinner. Or…

They are lovely. Lucy may be small because she was a kitten having kittens. The pregnancy sucks a lot of nutrition. My Lon is almost twice as large as his mother, who got pregnant at the 6-7 month mark herself. He did not only get great nutrition but he inherited grandma’s Maine Coon size.
