Stinging nettles on my cheek. I’d gotten it before on my arms/legs but unexpectedly had a very tall one fall on me while clearing some brush.
The other thing I can think of was having some sort of skinny swab inserted into my nose during a particularly bad sinus infection. Just a very intense stinging/burning and it felt like it was in so far it must have been poking my brain.
You reminded me of something I do all of the time: I forget to close the towel cabinet above the potty then stand up and drive the corner of the cabinet door into my brain. Damn, this HURTS!
Maybe I’ve done it so many times that I have drain bamage and can’t remember to check before I spring up from the toilet.
Another vote for kidney stones and gallstones. I recently learned that I have a 5mm stone in my right kidney, and I’m hoping that it’s big enough to stay put.
Migraine is probably the highest pain-to-size ratio, since the pain appears to originate with abnormal nerve activity rather than than a tumor, lesion, etc.
I’ve been awakened the past several nights, several times each night, by cramps in my left buttock. This has happened before; what’s really weird about it is that I don’t have any pain except when this thing cramps up while I’m asleep, and it feels like a knife going through my gluteus maximus. Touching it hurts even more; if it happens again tonight, I’ll call my doctor and ask about renewing my RX for cyclobenzaprine.
Anyone else have the thing where you are calmly walking along and suddenly your foot twists and you step on the side of it? Hurts like hell, and makes you fall.
