Self Made - Netflix miniseries

Has anyone else checked this out yet? It’s based on the life of “Madam” C.J. Walker, a black entrepreneur who made a fortune making and selling products specifically for African Americans. It stars Octavia Spencer, who seems to be in everything nowadays. While the story is an interesting one, it’s a fairly poorly made semi-documentary. The story line is fits and starts, the acting and editing are iffy, and the music is jarring and distracting. We’ve only watched episode one (of four), but are debating cutting it off at that.

If anyone else has seen all of it, does it improve?

Haven’t seen it, but I’ve seen Madame C.J. Walker’s grave in Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx.
