Self reflection doesn't always have to hurt (an MMP Thread)

Yanno, it’d be really nice if you used a bit of your windfall and bought your imaginary internet friends some brownies… Just sayin’…

swampy, I think I’m doing the project for Phil’s brother Dan, but yeah, same idea. I am a tad ticked this morning since I didn’t have any email from Dan. I sent him a copy of the drawing before I left, and since he’s on the left coast, he had several hours to look at it and get back to me, but he didn’t. So I’m going to move on to the horriblest of the drawings this morning.

I’m supposed to get a call between 9 and noon-ish to meet with the fireplace guy. In theory, he’ll call about half an hour before he gets to my house, giving me time to get there. If he calls closer too noon, I may just blow off the rest of the day - we shall see how it goes.

Meanwhile, that drawing won’t draw itself. Happy Tuesday!! Welcome to the n00bs and infrequent Mumpers (looking at kai) Send brownies!!!

PS - **doggio **- glitter?? Surely there’s a story that goes with it - attacked by Tinkerbell? Hugged by toddlers in a craft class? Hanging out with strippers? Do tell!

'Splain?

  1. Rain: liquid water that falls from the sky.
  2. I was putting up Christmas ornaments at work, so it does look like I was in a mosh pit with Tinkerbell.
    Up, caffeinated, off to irk.

So THAT’S what rain is!

Yay, **picu **and hubby! I agree with FCM. Here’s an excellent place where you can order brownies for us.

Welcome to all the newbies I missed. (See above link and also previously provided recipe links. :D:D:D )

Up and at 'em, I guess.

Hugs all.

Isn’t it kind of late for preparations for Christmas…? I’d think you’d be working on painting eggs for Easter, already! :stuck_out_tongue:

I have eggs on my HanaChristKwanza tree. :stuck_out_tongue:

Yay! Mollusks unite!

Well, I figured out what went wrong. Not the carrots. Missed a dose of my continuous BC. Havoc. I hate when this happens because it’s the stupidest reason ever to feel like crap. I am miserable today and I know it’s my own fault.

I hope I’m not coming down with something. I find myself craving protein.

Thanks for whoever lent me the sun, the shed is now pretty much painted a nice green colour. Didn’t do the last side, 'cos it has a grapevine growing up it, and I need to cut that back first, so I might need to borrow a little more sun in a week or two.

I think I might need to do some bakin’ today, all the brownie talk is making me hungry. Maybe some form of choccy cookie would be good…

I’ll make enough for everyone, don’t worry!

Brain protein?

No :D, just general stuff like meat (ate two hamburger patties), cheese, etc.

Back from meeting with the fireplace guy just in time for lunch - yay! Still haven’t heard anything from Dan from Heck - I thought his little project was so hot… Oh well, it all pays the same.

OK, work work work work work work…

Did someone request a fluffy puppy?

This is just a drive-by. My internet at home has been DNS’in the hell out of me since the end of August. Complicated Friend is supposed to be getting back to me about some info on the problem I emailed him last month. Considering how he earned the Complicated name, it’ll probably be another couple of months. I’ve been getting a lot of reading done. Work is hectic right now with all the Floridiots* coming up here to drive slow, look at trees, and complain about temperatures below 65 American. My dad’s old cat finally died last week. He was old, it was time. Vaya con Dios, Maybunny.

*Not meant for any Mumpers in Florida. We love y’all.

Spaz! Babe! How you doin’?

What about your Festivus pole? :stuck_out_tongue:

I have been to water aerobics and water yoga (sorry, but  ) and back. Next up is trying to talk myself into doing some homework.

Speaking of yawn, I also found out that there will be less than 20 vendors at the show I’m going to on Saturday. If I’d have known that I wouldn’t have signed up. It’s at a church so let’s just hope that they have a very enthusiastic congregation who will all come to the show.

**Sticky **- I did a little show at a church once - it was one of the worst I’d ever done. I sure hope yours is better.

Fifty years old and still finding new things. I found out yesterday, there’s a kind of cheese I don’t like.

I was in a store a few days ago and I saw this cheese called gjetost. It’s a brown Norwegian cheese. It sounded interesting so I bought a chunk to snack on. I cut off a slice to munch on while watching the game last night.

Ugh. I can’t describe exactly what made it bad. It wasn’t too sharp or too salty or too sweet or too sour. It wasn’t extreme at all. But it didn’t taste like cheese. And whatever it did taste like wasn’t something I wanted to eat. I threw it in the garbage.

I am under-socialized. I knew this in an intellectual sense, but I had my face pushed into it last night.

I was getting off work late (four new hires appear out of nowhere, needing computers, because their managers have not heard of this thing called ‘paperwork’), and on my way out, I stop to chat with a fellow coworker. Nice guy. A man of information, as Jane Austen would say.

The chat turned into a two and a half hour discussion about . . . well, just about everything. About the only thing we didn’t do was swap chili recipes.

Poor man. I’m sure he had thing he needed to do.

I really need to get out more.

Or may he just really enjoyed chatting with you. Don’t sell yourself short.

Keep working at this, though. I know it isn’t easy.
