Selling an antique baseball bat

Some advice needed.

When I was a kid, I bought a heavy Spaulding baseball bat at a garage sale near my house. I still have the bat today; it’s endorsed by George Grantham, who played for the Cubs, Giants and Reds through the 1920s.

I looked everywhere online, and couldn’t find any references to any Grantham-endorsed bats. I’m wondering where, aside from eBay or a mom-and-pop sports memorabilia store, I can find out more about this bat, and maybe get it appraised and sold. Any thoughts?

I’m pretty good at bats. I’ll look a bit, maybe tomorrow.

Is it a “bottle bat?” Very thin handle down at the knob end and rather thick up towards the barrel? That was the style in the 20s-30s.

He was mostly a Pirate.

Thanks!

The shape is something like this:

It’s also quite heavy.

Does it look like this one?

Not the same shape, but similar. The “flat” section at the top of the bat with the constant diameter is shorter.
