Selling FOOD on flights. WHAT?

I suppose it does make sense to let the passengers fend for themselves on domestic flights, but international flights, I think, should provide complimentary food. I am thinking about a recent trip I took where, after a seven-hour flight from New York to London, I had one hour and fifteen minutes to change terminals in Heathrow and make my plane to Moscow–a 3.5 hour flight. I had no time to grab anything at Heathrow, no time to change money, no pounds or rubles, and I was tired and hungry like hell (and scared; I mean, why the hell was I going to Moscow? Alone?). I can’t tell you how welcome the complimentary hot breakfast was.
