Sen. Feinstein's aerial drone comments

Senator Feinstein publicly stated that the US is flying attack drones out of Pakistan.

This is something that had been reported previously-unofficially-but having the chairman of the senate intelligence committee repeat it does raise the discussion level.
My question is: was it an accident in the sense she didn’t realize that repeating what the Washington Post has already said is not really a good idea for someone in her position or was she participating in a deliberate plan to increase the pressure on the Gov’t of Pakistan? Perhaps with Pakistan’s cooperation? After all, the new administration is continuing a policy started by the previous administration without much change. So it isn’t like the US is doing this out of inertia or without planning. The democrats have reviewed these missions and are supportive of these attacks. Is the senator part of that support or did she just have a “senior moment?” If the latter, how can she be replaced as chair?
