Senator Clinton, what the hell were you thinking?

What about the health care committees that she fought like heck to keep behind closed doors in violation of law ?

…and perjury about it. You don’t have your law license stripped for as blowjob.

I won’t say Hillary is stupid - she isn’t. Or intellectually unqualified - she isn’t. She’s certainly smarter than I am. But I wouldn’t trust her at all.

And about running for President - maybe she hasn’t put out any plans - but has she ever said she will NOT run? (other than ruling out 2004)

What, you mean like Dick Cheney’s energy task force?

Well, she’s never said she doesn’t plan to bio-engineer a hundred-foot-tall monster that will run amok and level Chicago, should we be worred about that too???

Besides, she’s already ruled out running for President in 2004 and 2008, so you’re still off by another election cycle.

I just had an epiphany: saying Clinton was nailed for contempt of court is like saying the South was fighting for states’ rights.

Sure, the South was fighting for states’ rights, but the right in question was the right to keep other humans in horrific conditions of involuntary servitude.

Sure, Clinton was nailed for contempt of court, but the contempt he showed the court was lying about a blowjob that wasn’t the court’s business in the first place.

Though in both cases folks may be right on a technicality, the technicality glosses over what i think is the more important issue.

So? The point was if Hillary Clinton was power hungry. Don’t recall talking about Dick Cheney. Or are you saying Cheney is following precedent? Or are you just trying to hijack it?

Gee I don’t recall her being asked that. She’s been asked about Presidental aspirations. Again, trying to distract attention from the topic?

Wrong. That was June. Old news. She contradicted that in November.

You must try to keep up with her current lies. She said she may run in 2008.

Just pointing out another example of the blatant hypocrisy of the Republican party. If you want to denounce secret government meetings as evil and horrific, that’s fine, but you should be up there screamin’ for Cheney to open his doors, too.

In no way do I want to start a fight here. But I have to ask if it’s really a reasonable request to know every damn thing the administration does. I know there were a few questions of Al, Jr. But nobody really expected forthright answers, did we? Sometimes a government has to do things behind closed doors to keep the opposition on its toes.

The current admin. could disclose all they know to Congress. This would be fine if Congress would shut the fuck up and use the info to better security for the US. But we all know, somewhere, sometime, someone would leak it to the press. This wouldn’t be so bad if the press kept it out of the international arena.

So what is expected, seemingly, is this. We have the highest levels of government give up all info and strategy to the press, who then sends it out to the world, and it by default gets to our enemies. You know, those pesky shits that want to kill you and me even if you sympathize with them?

I’d rather some things be kept secret. I have nothing to hide. Ashcroft is welcome to dinner anytime.

No, it is like saying that the court that he held in contempt ruled him to be in contempt of court. From the ruling to which I linked before: “For the reasons that follow, the Court hereby adjudges the President to be in contempt of court for his willful failure to obey this Court’s discovery Orders.”

Still off-topic. The issue isn’t relative integrity of the two main political parties, it’s Hillary’s thirst for power. I never said she was the only power-hungry person in Washington.

If that’s your position, the issue is then why you’re singling her out.

I’m not the OP. But unfortunately she represents my state, so I popped in the thread. If she supposedly represents me, I am more involved than if the thread was about, say, Orrin Hatch.
