Sending an Excel Macro

Excel.
I created a macro and saved in my personal.xls
How do I send it to a co-worker’s computer and how does he then get the macro saved to his personal.xls? Thanks.

On Office 2000:

  • Goto tools>macro>macros.
  • Select your macro and click edit, this will bring up Microsoft Visual Basic Editor.
  • Select file>export file, save your macro as a bas file
  • Email it to your co-worker, test him to do the same except click on “import file” instead of "export file. Then save…
Its possible you may have sending .BAS files via the mail (I don’t know is outlook, treats .bas files as “suspect”). If so rename it before/after sending.

Save your personal.xls file with a different file name (or copy it and rename it). Delete all the macros except the ones you want your co-worker to have. Send that file.
