Hey all,
I recently sold an item over ebay to a buyer in Italy, but we’ve run into some problems with PayPal. We’re trying to figure out how he can send me money in the U.S. without paying some exorbitant fee.
We’ve been having an e-mail exchange, and he writes decent English, but he didn’t know what a “check” was. Do checks and checking accounts exist in Italy?
We’d like to find a way that doesn’t involve
a) a hefty fee for one of us, or
b) me having to give him my bank account number.
Is there anyone here familiar with Italian banks and monetary policy, who can offer advice to us?
