I’m working on behalf of Justin Granier who is currently incarcerated at the Louisiana State Penitentiary serving a life without parole sentence since the age of 19 for a murder that he did not commit. Everyone should be held accountable for their own actions; however, the state of Louisiana punishes individuals based on the actions of other by utilizing a blanket justice system that is fundamentally broken. Although Justin made a poor decision in who he associated himself with that night, he never had a gun in possession or took part in the planning or carrying out of the act. However, mandatory sentencing laws in Louisiana mean that Justin was charged the same as the individual who pulled the trigger which comes with an automatic lwop sentence. We need your help and support in helping to give Justin another chance at freedom! He has already served 12 years and shouldn’t have to spend the rest of his life paying for the actions of another.

Granier knowingly drove the getaway car for a robbery in which an innocent person was shot and killed, and another person shot and almost killed. As such, I have absolutely no problem holding him accountable for that murder and am not disturbed in the least to see him rot in prison for the rest of his life. "On cross examination the defendant admitted that he knew Roddy and Barrow were going to rob the store that while he waited for them Villar was killed and that after he heard the gunshots he waited in the getaway car until Roddy and Barrow returned then drove away with them "
Is there a petition I can sign for Luke Villar?
[sarcasm]No, because he’s not the victim here.[/sarcasm]
Before I sign any petitions, I would like to ask if this pdf is the same Justin Granier you are posting in support. If it is the same person, it appears he was a little more involved than you imply.
If it is a different guy, then could you please supply some objective sources so I can determine if this is a worthwhile cause, or not?
Thanks in advance.

Shodan
I just did a search, and it seems that our OP has spammed the hell out of Facebook with this exact same message, and we’re just the first stop in the next phase of her quest.
What is a “lwop”?
Thank you Mr. Internet Detective.
Life without parole, I think.

Shodan

Sadie1984, if you want to discuss this case and the sentence, please feel free. But don’t use this site to get people to sign a petition. I’m closing this thread and removing the petition link.
