September 26 - The First Obama-McCain Debate

I’ve got a bracelet too.

No soldier ever dies in vain.

He’s knocking it out on Iraq, after a slow start on the economy.

i have a pretty too. see?

goodness, this is getting deep.

I like how McCain keeps trying to point out that Obama just doesn’t understand so much.

So you believe that delivery is utterly irrelevant to Presidential debates, then? You honestly believe that presentation is “nonsensical”? Tell sweaty Nixon that delivery and presentation doesn’t matter. Please.

Brilliant use of homophobic insinuation, though.

And thank you, anu-la. He’s been doing much better since it’s moved onto Iraq, both on content and delivery. Solid scores on numerous points.

I think he did know, he just started to say the soldier’s name first instead of saying that it was the soldier’s mother.

He paused because he said the solider gave it to him, but it was the soldier’s mother.

Iran question.

Good question.

I was thinking the same thing. I’m expecting him at some point to walk over and pat him on the head condescendingly while tutting “there-there”.

Didn’t he say it? I thought he did, but the room is kind of noisy.

The green (indi) opinion tracker has been flat until now but it just took off in response to Obama’s “I’ve got a bracelet too” remark.

I have no doubt that he did, but this is less about the issues and more about perception, and I’m pretty sure that hesitation won’t play well in the sticks.

I’m sorry, wasn’t the question how Iran is a threat to the U.S.?

Perhaps I am mistaken.

Did McCain just godwinize the debate?

McCain gets better once he gets warmed up. Aftter 8 years of GWB it’s almost a shock to return to the idea of a nonstupid Republican Presidential candidate. His answer on Iran wasn’t bad.

Iranically? Was that an intentional pun?

The League of Democracy!

McCain is making a mutherfucking superteam!!!

I shall be known as PowerLoins. I protect Posse Comitatus.

Why does the red line go up whenever we talk about killing people?

What’s an “existential” threat?

a league of democracies??!! didn’t they try that back in the beginning of the last century?

Obama is doing well on Iran also though

EDIT: nice nail on Kissinger contradicting McCain on Iran
