Sequels you May not Have Known Existed

Gunfighter wasn’t a sequel to Sheriff, despite the same director, a similar title, and much of the same cast. Just a weird coinkydink.

More literary sequels…

HG Wells’ War of the Worlds had several sequels written by other people. I read two of them in high school, and would like to find them again. One was named something like Edison Goes to Mars, but I don’t know what the other was called. Anyone else know more?

Recently I came across an anthology of stories written in the “War of the Worlds universe”. The stories there deal with the Martian invasion of other lands (Russia, China, the USA, etc) at the same time as Wells’ original extraterrestrial invasion of England.

Could it have been Manly Wade Wellman’s Sherlock Holmes’ War of the Worlds ?

You have my deepest sympathies.

Of course, Kathy Ireland is one of the loves of my life, she just hasn’t realized it yet.

In that case, don’t bother watching the second movie. She only has a cameo in it.

And just in case the warning didn’t take, here is the IMDB entry for the movie :D. Enjoy.

Actually, detop, that might have been it. I am now going to have to find that book at the science-fiction library.

Glad to have been able to help.

While The Bridge on the River Kwai won 7 Oscars, Return from the River Kwai (1988) was not so widely received.

It does have George Takei, though. Too bad that’s all it has going for it.
