Okay, I really need to know this. Do people wear underwear under leather pants? If so, what kind? I am curious for both men and women. I have always wondered this.

Depends on if they’re lined or unlined. Mine are lined, and I could go commando if I wanted without discomfort. Unlined would be another story.
Of course, I don’t clean my leather pants after every wearing, as I do with non-leather garments. So you’re damn straight I’m wearing underwear with them - after a few wearings, they’d start to get all funky.

Well, the leather pants I own are lined, and very warm. I do wear boxer briefs underneath, but I prefer to wear them all the time, 'cause going “commando” just hurts sometimes. Sometimes, you just don’t want them swinging so much, dammit! Anyway… 
Yes, I wear boxer briefs (Chereskin, Hanes or Fellini) underneath my leather pants.
My hemp pants, that’s another story. We swing freely in those on hot but breezy summer nights 
I wear a thong under mine. No unsightly VPL that way.
The leather pants I tried on were lined. I would have worn a thong with them, though, because I could see panty lines.
