Ultimately it is an unsatisfying and dead-end philosophy that won’t lead to any deeper insight. But there is no denying that it’s there and there is no way to disapprove it. And it does have some relevance when the discussion is of such basic things as the existence of God. And since Czarcasm asked a direct question.

Because the tag “illusion” is relative. For this reality to be an illusion there must be an “outside” or better interpretation of reality*. In the absence of evidence of an outside or better interpretation, it makes sense to assume they don’t exist, until there’s reason to think otherwise.
- Of course, our interpretation of reality does change somewhat; it could almost be considered the purpose of science. But for my point, I’m thinking of major shake-ups. Like “we’re in the Matrix”.
