The climactic scene in The Iron Giant has made more grown men cry than any other movie scene since Bambi’s mom was stuffed and mounted…with the possible exception of Cameron killing the car in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
I was stunned to learn that Vin Diesel had provided the voice.
I admit to never having seen any of his other films, but for that alone he has earned my respect.
